The Datterino Rosso is a small berry tomato with a persistent flavour and high sweetness. Cultivated in the fields of the Piana del Sele, it is appreciated for its low acidity and its creaminess and firmness. It requires a maximum cooking time of 5 – 6 minutes and its thin skin does not cover the flavours.
In its simplicity, immense. Suitable for quick first courses, such as scarpariello, or in general to be paired with cheeses with a stronger flavour (conciato romano or pecorino from Cilento).
